Who's behind Orto?

The founders

Orto has two founders, Josh Darling and Jules Copeland. Josh and Jules partnered on Orto because of a mutual love of business and cars and a shared belief in the power of co-ownership to make the world a better place.

Prior to Orto, Josh spent 10 years developing new organisations and delivering change in the highly complex health sector. He has led and managed teams to develop and execute plans tackling a variety of business challenges, including enterprise creation; long-term business planning; delivering performance transformation programmes; helping to turn around around loss-making departments and identifying and achieving new market opportunities.

Jules is the technological driving force behind the company. Obsessed with technology and cars since childhood, he spent the last 15 years building and managing websites and web applications. As Senior Developer at Ninety Ten he built the Engage platform, a reconfigurable private social network for organisations. Always keen to push technology to its limits, he sees the power in connecting disparate technologies to solve real world problems in easy to use ways.
